EyeSnapi iphone app now available in itunes! see Forbes.com video blog!.

This app helps you (the patient) communicate with your doctor (or doctor's medical assistant) during a phone-call consult on an eye problem.  This app takes a snap shot of each eye, checks the vision, checks a mini- field of vision, and presents a check list of relevant eye symptoms and time course.  It then emails your doctor (or anyone you specify) the eye findings without any identifying information about you (except initials).  This app can be a very helpful app for communicating with your doctor.   The email is not encrypted but patient initials (not names) are used.  The receiving doctor can then upload the data to a secure EMR or patient record.
